The Francis House

Our stay at The Francis House was enchanting! Such a gorgeous property… truly breathtaking inside and out. Gorgeous pool, backyard area and the interior design was so beautifully curated and elegant. Inside, the space felt incredibly comforting, as though we were visiting friends. The delightful scent added to the experience. Dina’s and Richard’s service and attention to detail was exceptional. They were very kind and friendly. AND cooked us the most delicious breakfast each morning. Overall, it was a memorable experience. Thank you for creating and sharing such a breathtakingly beautiful space with the world!

We had an amazing stay at The Francis House! All of the staff are so welcoming and accommodating, and genuinely seem to love where they work. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The house and grounds are beautiful, and the location is perfect for walking to dinner or drinks in downtown Calistoga. We would absolutely stay again, thank you for a wonderful trip!

If I could give 10 stars I would. My daughter and I stayed at Francis house for a mother daughter wine tasting trip. The experience at Francis house was truly amazing . The property is gorgeous and immaculate. Richard and Dina are two of the sweetest people. They serve a delicious breakfast each morning and are available for anything you need! Even helping to make a last minute wine tasting reservation on july 4th for us ! They felt like family by the time we left. It is truly a special experience! Highly recommend .

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon recently and we had a fantastic experience. The staff was incredible from the moment we showed up until we left and the location was perfect for our trip. The rooms were very clean and my wife was very excited to use the Dyson hair dryer. The amenities were great and our breakfast each morning was delicious. We were so happy to find out that they received a special award while we were staying there. It was a special moment and they are very deserving! Looking forward to coming back!

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at the Francis House. The property has the feel of an intimate luxurious chateau and the pool and grounds are beautiful. The rooms are filled with antiques and have lovely marble bathrooms. It is also a short walk to shops and restaurants. What makes the stay more amazing is the incredible hospitality and warmth of the hosts who run it. Rich and Dina go above and beyond to make sure that all your needs are taken care of. Dina’s breakfasts are delicious and feel more like an elevated fine dining experience. I am a vegetarian and the breakfasts I had at the Francis House were probably one of the best ones I’ve had I can’t recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back

An unforgettable stay! The Francis House is truly one of the most special and beautifully restored places we've ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and attention to detail—it felt more like visiting an elegant private home than a hotel. The historic building is stunning, inside and out. Every space has been thoughtfully designed, combining modern luxury with historic charm. Our room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the peaceful pool area and the delicious, homemade breakfast each morning. The location is perfect—just a short walk to downtown Calistoga, yet tucked away enough to feel private and serene. The staff clearly take pride in creating a one-of-a-kind experience. Their passion shows in every little detail. We left feeling pampered, relaxed, and already dreaming of our next visit. Highly, highly recommend!

If I could give The Francis House more than 5 stars I would!! This stunningly beautiful B&B is unlike any place we've ever stayed and is absolutely magical from the moment you drive through the gates! Richard and Dina are the most gracious and kind hosts, you feel like you've made new friends by the time your stay is over. They have done such an amazing job restoring and renovating this property that you can't help but feel like you're at a luxurious French chateau. The attention to detail and design in every room of this property is a 10 out of 10!! They truly take care of everything, every last detail of our stay was perfection. They provide a delicious gourmet breakfast daily that was served in their peaceful outdoor dining area and even checked with us before we arrived to ask if we had any dietary restrictions. The grounds are so pretty as well, and we enjoyed their beautiful pool after a fun day of wine tasting and shopping as well as the cozy fire pit. The location is great as well and is within short walking distance to downtown Calistoga. I can't recommend this place enough and we were so sad to leave!
